Pals

Better with your people

Bring your partner, a friend, family or your PT along. Cheer each other on, nudge the quiet ones, and see how the week went every Friday.

How it works

  1. Invite someone. Open Pals, tap Invite a Pal, say who they are (partner, friend, family or PT) and send the link however you like.
  2. Choose what they see. Wins only, or an open book. You can change it any time, and going back to Wins only takes one tap.
  3. Keep each other going. Cheers, short messages, a nudge when someone's gone quiet, and a recap every Friday.

Pals is one-to-one. You can have up to ten, and your Pals can't see each other unless they connect too.

When someone joins Pal from your invite, they get 7 days free, and so do you (unless you already pay for Pal). You can earn this for up to ten Pals. See the reward terms.

Pal app screen headed "Better with Pals": this week's progress for You, Jo, Tom and Sam, and a card saying Jo did all 3 of her plan items.

You choose what each Pal sees

Every Pal starts on Wins only. Switch someone to Open book if you want them to see more. They choose what you see of them, too.

Our promises

Your chats stay private

What you say to Pal, by text, voice note, call or WhatsApp, is never shared with your Pals. Nor are your photos.

Gentle by default

If your goal involves a GLP-1 medicine, perimenopause or menopause, every Pal starts on Wins only and notifications carry no numbers.

Professionals ask first

A PT, coach, physio or dietitian only sees Open book after you confirm it separately.

Never your weight

Pals can see that you weighed in, and a change you choose to share. Never the number on the scales.

Mute, remove, report

Mute someone without telling them, remove a Pal for both of you, or report a message and it's hidden straight away.

No contacts access

You send invites yourself, from your phone's share sheet. Pal never reads your contacts.

Cheers, nudges and a Friday recap

  • Cheers and messages are short, up to 140 characters.
  • Nudges can go to a Pal who's been quiet for three days, at most one a day, in the app or by WhatsApp if they've allowed it.
  • Your weekly recap is ready on Friday evening. Only the Pals you choose see it.

Got an invite? Here's how to join.

Jo cheered you Wed 20:14
"Two strength sessions done already. Who are you?!"
Nudge from Sam Thu 07:30
"Haven't seen you log since Monday. Walk at lunch?"
Your Friday recap Fri 19:00

3 of 3 done

5 days logged. Share it with Jo and Sam?
